Pakistan’s leg-spinner, Shadab Khan, is working hard to make a return to the national team after a prolonged absence from international cricket.

The 26-year-old was recently seen training under the guidance of his father-in-law, former cricketer Saqlain Mushtaq.

Shadab took to social media to share a video of his practice session, showcasing his bowling technique being fine-tuned with the help of the former star.

In the video, the all-rounder is seen wearing a red shirt, blue pants, and black sneakers as he works on his one-handed bowling technique to enhance his performance.

The video was captioned, "Learning from one of the best!"

Reflecting on his struggles, Shadab previously spoke about his lack of form.

"I was struggling for three months. I hadn't taken a wicket in the last seven international games. I came here, started bowling, and now I’m always taking wickets. That is the beauty of cricket. You have to enjoy these types of scenarios as well… sometimes you perform, sometimes you don’t. But the process that you follow has to be consistent," said Shadab.

Shadab has represented Pakistan in six Test matches, 70 ODIs, and 104 T20Is, claiming 14, 85, and 107 wickets in each format, respectively.

He is also the second-highest wicket-taker in for Pakistan T20I cricket, just behind Haris Rauf with 110 wickets.

The last time Shadab was seen in action for Pakistan was during the 2024 T20 World Cup against Ireland in Lauderhill on June 16.

Though Pakistan won the match, Shadab's performance was under scrutiny as he remained wicketless with the ball and was dismissed for a duck when he came in to bat.
